Get the Look for under £200: Elle Decor FRONT COVER

because payday is so far away *sob*

Hello everyone, Amy here. This week I’m the bearer of good news – today we start a new blog series where we show you how to get the look for under £200. Whether it’s from a film set, a celeb’s home or just a pic of some damn good interior design, we’ll find you like-for-like key items you’ll need to re-create the look. So first up this week we have the beautiful Stockholm living room featured in Elle Décor’s May 2017 Cover House. Here’s the Scandinavian beauty we saw in Elle

Broke A.F but want an epic home? Scroll on down…

The Moroccan Light

What’s that room without the gorgeous Moroccan light eh? But you needn’t spend a fortune to get a similar copy. To keep within under our £200 budget, I’ve found this one that’s only £20 and has the same aesthetic affect. See who is selling it.

The Scandi House Plant

Next up, plants. No Stockholm living room would be complete without a bit out the outdoors inside aka a lovely plant in the corner. You don’t need anything fancy – a plant like this one from our trusty Swedish homeware brand will do just fine, and at just £19.95 we’re still no where near the £200 mark.

The Monochrome Print

Vintage black and white photography / sketchy black and white prints seem to be a staple of Scandinavian interiors, but they’ll fit in with any sort of décor. I love the one of the female form in this Stockholm living room and I’ve found a similar one on Etsy. Top tip: Need artwork to finish off an already colourful room? Go for black and white sketchy prints – they’ll add some personality but won’t be distracting!

The Blush Print

The wall décor is harmonised by the calming print with blush and grey hues. Get the look with this one, again from Etsy, just £5.26. Top tip: there’s heaps of affordable home ware brands out there that sell great prints. Keep your eyes peeled as our blog regularly features prints that won’t break your bank.

The ‘Hygge’ Shaggy rug

Section off the seating area of your living room with a cosy shaggy rug that screams ‘Hygge’, the Scandi trend that went viral last year. You can get the look for less with this Premium Hudson shaggy rug from Very for £36.

The Round Table

The placement of the round table and metal table legs on the shaggy rug adds a nice contrast of textures, which adds depth to the room. Create the same look with this round NYLA table from Made.com, just £79.
