Fool Proof Shelving From String Pocket

finally a shelving system that even you can do!

For months I’ve been needing to put up some extra shelving in my kitchen. Every time I open my cupboard to get some chicken stock out, a whole range of spices fall all over me. It’s like a coriander seed mass suicide. SO, I challenged myself to get some shelves that wouldn’t require much effort to install, but at the same time aren’t going to look like I’ve cut corners. Enter ‘String Pocket’. Swedish designed, these shelves are super easy to assemble, don’t require a drill and have a sort of click-and-connect system whereby you can keep adding to them to make them bigger, wider, lower, higher – you name it. SHELVING THAT REQUIRES
NO DRILLS & NO DRAMAS

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  1. If you have a friend, nab them for 10 minutes
  2. A spirit level
  3. A screwdriver

The great thing about String Pocket is that you can buy more in the future to add to your existing shelving unit. Plus, the shelves have hooks so they’re not permanently fixed. That means, if theres something on the shelf that won’t bit because it’s too big, just unhook it and lower the shelf to accommodate it. It also means there’s less time screwing in shelves and more time styling them!

TOP TIP: don’t have a spirit level? download the free app on your phone

BRICK WALLS

If you have solid brick walls rather than plasterboard, you will most likely need a drill as a screw driver won’t be enough to get through the wall. Additionally, you will need wall plugs – little plastic caps you put into the wall where the screw slots in to. Don’t be put of, it’s super easy and not scary at all!
