What Type Of Diner Are You?

OH EM GEE IT'S FINALLY SUMMER!

So why not celebrate with some al fresco dining and great summer tableware. This week Topology aims to help you discover what type of diner you are in the hope of finding you the perfect table set up that will outshine your summer BBQ recipes.

Perhaps I speak for myself here, but when I come home, I always make sure two specific things are done because they always lift my mood upon re-entering my home after a long day’s work.

  1. Always have a made bed! It’s proven to boost your mood when you come home
  2. Always have the table laid! Again, makes the room appear well designed and lifts the spirits

So if you want to boost your mood with minimal effort and minimal cost, keep reading.

This week we are going to provide you with some budget options to get your kitchen looking better than ever.

Option 1: The HIPPIE Diner

Want to reminisce about those travels you had as a youth? Want to take a trip back to Morocco and ride that camel in a desert during sunset? Well unfortunately new tableware isn’t going to re-create that for you, but we can certainly make it appear as though you are well travelled! How about serving up a tagine in one of Circus Brixton’s ceramic homeware range that can be brought on the cheap and is not your everyday run of the mill look. Either go bold with lots of different colours and patterns or simply opt for just one patterned bowl or plate and mix it with something a little more reserved for a toned down look.

Option 2: The BROKE AF Diner

Try Ikea plates and Ikea place mats. You can’t really get much cheaper than this yet the effect is still great. This option is so neutral, you could literally opt for any glass or cutlery to keep it super cheap. If you have a bit more money to play with, try opting for some linen napkins to jazz it up. Here we've set up the LATTAD range placemats at £3.50 each and standard IKEA bowls at £1 each. Click on the images to be taken to the IKEA website.

Option 3: The NEED SOMETHING ASAP Diner

We love this combination of the marble effect plates with gold crockery. Try visiting M&S for the marble effect plates - which are an absolute bargain at only £3.99! We call this the need something asap option because they are easily accessible off most high streets! Shop the look by clicking on the images below.

Option 3: The TRENDY  Diner

Sucker for trends? Then you must be one of those people whose grabbing eery pineapple orientated object you can shake a stick at. It's not a bad thing, in fact it means you have such a great variety to choose from because everywhere has different options for you to cherry pick from. We recommend our new favourite homeware brand PASX for their fun summer dining range painted with palm trees and pineapples, at only £10 per glass (Plus an exclusive 20% discount & FREE DELUIVERY through Topology!) you can kit out your table in stlye.

Option 3: The Topology  Diner

This set up is our personal favourite, as chosen by out team. We think summer dining this year is all about Enamel tableware. We recently picked some up in Brixton market for a minimal cost but it's readily accessible all over the web at the moment. Try Trouva for instance - they have loads of enamel tableware from different brands. We love 'Design Vintage' enamel tableware available on Trouva from just £3 (plus an additional 12% off with our unique code).
